I enjoyed your warm and engaging style of talking about the food, demonstrating the techniques and the explanation about the chemistry of flavours. You have encouraged me to try the recipes at home and incorporate into my own home cooking.
My girlfriend and I had an amazing time at the Sozai cooking school. Neither of us had done a sushi class before, and it was super fun and interesting. We learnt how to make 4 different types of sushi, and had enough food for lunch & dinner on the day. We also were given a starter pack for making our first sushi rolls at home, which was a really nice gesture.
Personally, I'd describe the sushi cooking class as one of the best dates / outings I've been to. It was great value for money, lasted 3 hours, and our hosts were lovely and made sure we had great fun whilst learning lots about sushi making - thanks for a great class!
Though seemingly a basic skill, making a great sushi roll has remained elusive until now. My sushi toolkit is now better equipped than ever having learned the importance of rice preparation and having the confidence to add pretty much any ingredient...
It was such a great evening with a very knowledgeable & fun teacher. The vegan ramen was to die for, and a goody bag is always a great ending to the course. We had the best time. The group was a small bunch of lovely people. Thanks. Tom & Nina
This is the 6th class I have attended online with Sozai and taught by Kinu. She is an amazing and patient teacher, taking her time to go through each step and happily repeating anything you might have confusion with. Each class I have left with something tasty and delicious, with many of the recipes becoming weekly favourites in my household :)
