Online Homemade Gyoza Class

Join our new homemade gyoza from scratch online class!

Cookalong and learn how to make your own gyozas in the comfort of your own kitchen. Making your own gyoza is a lot of fun and taste particularly fantastic when they are homemade.

In this 2 hour workshop, you will start from making the gyoza wrapper dough and the gyoza filling, wrapping the gyoza parcels, to grilling the perfect crispy and juicy gyozas.

Class Content:
○ Making gyoza skins from scratch
○ Preparing the filling
○ Wrapping gyoza parcels
○  Pan-frying & Boiling techniques
○  Preparing the dipping sauce

Ingredients:
Plain Flour

Minced Pork, Chicken or Turkey
(*Vegan option: Tempeh, Seitan or Vegan Mince)

Chinese Leaves or Cabbage
Spring Onions
Leek
Soy Sauce
Sesame Oil
Rice Vinegar
Chili Oil (*optional)

Experience the traditional gyoza making in this fun and interactive workshop. Our friendly instructor will lead you through the making in this step-by-step online cookalong class.

Kinu Yukawa

Kinu Yukawa is a Japanese chef and cookery teacher from Kobe, Japan. She ventured into the world of food early in life and fostered the basics of cooking from her grandmother. Later she trained French cuisine at Ecole Ritz Escoffier Paris and traditional Japanese cuisine in Kyoto.

Kinu believes in the simplicity of the Japanese philosophy of enjoying food with all the body's five senses <五感楽しむ和食>. She appreciates the importance of cooking with vegetables that are in season and at the height of their flavour. By respecting the seasons and their offerings, food nourishes and brings harmony to the body, which is the principle of "和食 Washoku" <the harmony of food> .

Kinu's teaching style focuses on cooking techniques and skills, ensuring that each students master the skills. Kinu is fascinated by sharing her expertise and knowledge of Japanese cooking with students of all walks of life and culinary levels.

It was a very good class. I love udon and was delighted to be able to learn how to make it at home. Kinu was very knowledgeable, and very helpful in answering all the questions that we had. It was an incredibly satisfying to sit down for dinner with the food freshly made in class. I really enjoyed the course and I strongly recommend it if you want to learn to cook Japanese food.

Best online cookery course

I really enjoyed this class. There were few participants, which is unusual in an online course, and it was great, since the teacher could follow us properly and answer our questions while still working on the demonstration. Kinu's instructions were clear and she made it look very easy. in fact i managed to do some quite passable mochi and I am delighted with the class. I will definitely take more classes.
